Live in one of West Hollywood's most distinctive and storied buildings. Residence 10 at the legendary Granville Towers is a rare first-floor home that offers something increasingly difficult to find in Los Angeles: the feeling of a private residence combined with the service, security and amenities of an elegant historic building. Built in 1930 in the French Normandy style by renowned Los Angeles architect Leland Bryant, Granville Towers is a true Hollywood landmark and has been home to countless celebrities over the decades. The building's remarkable roster of former residents includes Marilyn Monroe, Rock Hudson, David Bowie and Iman, Portia de Rossi, Nora Ephron, Brendan Fraser, Mickey Rourke, Kristin Chenoweth, Robin Givens, Jennifer Hudson, Emma Roberts and Rashida Jones, among many others. The celebrity history is not simply part of the building's marketing lore; it has been documented over the years by the Los Angeles Times, architectural historians and local historical sources. Residence 10 features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a private en-suite bedroom. The living room opens through French doors to a charming Juliet balcony, while beautiful wood floors, carpeting, stone finishes and original architectural details create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere throughout. A gourmet kitchen provides a wonderful setting for both everyday living and entertaining. What makes Residence 10 particularly special is its rare first-floor location. It has the intimate, private feeling of a home rather than a traditional condominium, while still providing all the benefits of living in a full-service historic building. Residents enjoy a staffed lobby, secure subterranean parking and beautifully landscaped grounds centered around an enchanting English-inspired garden, complete with chaise lounges and a barbecue area. The building is pet friendly and features a rare illuminated and secured dog run. One dedicated parking space is included. And then there is the location. Granville Towers sits just below the Sunset Strip on Crescent Heights, putting an extraordinary collection of Los Angeles destinations within easy reach. Trader Joe's, Bristol Farms, CVS, Equinox, Crunch, restaurants, coffee shops, nightlife and entertainment are all nearby. The legendary Chateau Marmont and Sunset Tower are just moments away, while the Sunset Strip, Sunset Plaza, Beverly Hills and the heart of West Hollywood are all easily accessible. This is the quintessential Los Angeles lifestyle: walk to dinner, coffee, groceries or the gym, enjoy the energy of the Sunset Strip, then retreat to the privacy and serenity of a beautifully landscaped historic building. With its architectural pedigree, extraordinary Hollywood history, celebrity provenance, first-floor privacy and exceptional location, Residence 10 is a rare opportunity to lease a genuine piece of Los Angeles history. Two bedrooms. Two bathrooms. First-floor private-home feel. Dedicated parking. Pet friendly. Staffed lobby. Juliet balcony. Gourmet kitchen. English-inspired gardens. Secured dog run. And one of the most storied addresses in West Hollywood. Welcome home to Granville Towers.
